I believe the key to planning is the review. I have been doing weekly reviews for about 3 months now and I am finding that it is really helpful to keep my system updated.
I do not consider all my planning sessions to be perfect but I am trying to make sure that I turn up and try and do the review. Since you mentioned GTD, there is an excellent podcast from GTD on how to do the weekly review. This is for GTD practitioners. I am trying to stick to this routine when I am planning.
Yes agree; Review is as much if not more important in the whole productivity system. Thank you for sharing the Podcast link (I listened to it this morning and some great tips and guided review session).
