The theme for this month’s newsletter is Planning!
📋Have a Plan
"Plans are useless, but planning is indispensable" - Dwight D. Eisenhower
On Sunday, when I looked back on the week that had gone, it did not give me a feeling of completion or a sense of achievement. I did a lot of random things but nothing worth mentioning.
I missed planning earlier that week!
Planning helps to stay focused and accomplish your goals. It helps you to be Ridiculously Productive!
I try and keep my plans loose and flexible, giving me room to move around. At any time, I pick what I feel like to do and use the plan to guide me on the things I want to achieve. Having goals over multiple areas helps overcome the creator’s block. When I find myself stuck at one task, I quickly shift over to something else, rather than trying to fight myself.
Below is a snapshot of my Weekly Planner page in Notion. When I do my Weekly Planning every Sunday evening, I
Review the week that has gone, take some Notes, and use the weekly checklist as a guide to clean up any loose ends.
Plan for the upcoming week and add in the top 'TODO's' for that week. This then flows into the Daily Planning.
The Daily Planner page is very similar, with a daily checklist and set of things I want to achieve for the day. I have 15 mins blocked out for Daily Planning.
You will be amazed at how small such changes can make big impacts over time.
Start Small, Win Big.

Hi Rahul,
Nice one. I have re read the Nat Eliason article at least 5 times by now and it has some great stuff.
I believe the key to planning is the review. I have been doing weekly reviews for about 3 months now and I am finding that it is really helpful to keep my system updated.
I do not consider all my planning sessions to be perfect but I am trying to make sure that I turn up and try and do the review. Since you mentioned GTD, there is an excellent podcast from GTD on how to do the weekly review. This is for GTD practitioners. I am trying to stick to this routine when I am planning.

Congratulations on 2k Subscribers. :-)
